§ 5.20.160. Deposit.

No license shall be issued, and none is valid, unless and while the applicant-licensee has on file with the Chief of Police a cash deposit in the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00), payable to the people of the state for its expenses in connection with a violation of this chapter, or as ordered by a court for the benefit of anyone injured by fortunetelling operations in violation of this chapter.
